The nonprofit organization I am volunteering for received at least 25 kittens from people who live in North Fork during the past month. Right now we are still receiving calls from people asking for help with kittens... During the past weekend, we found homes for almost 10 kittens, but it is never enough. Lately, we decide to have more adoption events at Petco and around North Fork in order to get our cats/kittens exposed to more people. My dear Mickey and Donald are still at Petco waiting for their forever home. Unfortunately, because of the new kittens, not many people paid attention to them... I feel very sorry for them. All I can do is to visit them every couple of days with their favorite canned food and stay with them for a while. I can't let Mickey and Donald stay in the cage forever, so I plan to take them back home for vacation for a few weeks if they are not adopted in two weeks. At least, they will be happy and we have more space for our kittens.
