洛杉磯湖人季外「暑假作業」暫時告一段落，由於後場人力充足，總教練Byron Scott透露，「紫金一哥」Kobe Bryant新球季可能偶爾得客串大前鋒。

今年湖人在選秀會選進潛力後衛D'Angelo Russell，還找來彈藥充足的新科「年度最佳第六人」Lou Williams，加上上季表現出色的新秀Jordan Clarkson，紫金軍後場無虞。

「我想，今年Bryant打三號的機會會比二號多。」Scott表示：「如果我們能把他放在腰位，他會更有影響力。」

生涯前17年幾乎沒有大型傷痛的Bryant，最近已是連續2季沒能健康出賽，Scott當然得保護這位看板球星。

「我不認為我們需要他滿場跑來跑去，如果我們能替他省掉一些工作，應該可以盡可能地保護他的腿。」Scott說。

不只小前鋒，Scott透露，目前預定讓Julius Randle、Brandon Bass在四號位輪替，不過身高6呎6吋Bryant可能偶爾得代打。

「Kobe可以打一、二、三號，這是無庸置疑的。」Scott說：「但當我們遇到某些球隊的時候，他可能得打到四號，他很頑強，他可以接受挑戰的。」
