What is this novel talk about?

It's a tall tale(怪異的故事). In this story we have four different ethnics(races), 

and it try to find out the balance between them. And the main character Captain Ahab, 

has strugled within his heart with good and evil. 

It has came out with a discussion about human. Human is the only race that

never ask (Nature) but just take. And now adays we have bump into genecticide

(種族滅絕, the whaling business in the story).
