The quality team identify the product and the services which is not meeting the quality control criteria that are set up as per the standards of the company.

Once they identify such products, then the engineer and the team stops the production of such product or stops that particular service. But they will also check the level of quality lag in that particular product and service and based on that they may stop completely or may may adopt some temporary measures to ensure the quality is maintained.

Actually the quality team or the engineer does not correct the quality issues. They intimate the issues to the concern engineer or the concern department and it is their duty to fix the same before the next lot of production. Once the concern engineers fix the problems they intimate it to the quality control department and they check if the required criteria is met and they approve the products for dispatch.
