1.Benign(a.):kind and gentle

EX:He shook his head in benign amusement.

2.Nebulous(a.):an idea that is nebulous is not at all clear or exact

EX:Normality is a rather nebulous concept.

3.Recur(v.):if something, especially something bad or unpleasant, recurs, it happens again

EX:There is a danger that the disease may recur.

4.Jargon(n.):words and expressions used in a particular profession or by a particular group of people, which are difficult for other people to understand - often used to show disapproval

EX:Avoid computer jargon when you write for laymen.

5.Prudent(a.):sensible and careful, especially by trying to avoid unnecessary risks

EX:His wife is a prudent manager of money.

6.Commodious(a.):a house or room that is commodious is very big

EX:His house was spacious and commodious, and furnished with profusion and elegance.

7.Advocate(n.):an advocate is a term for a professional lawyer used in several different legal systems

EX:They are advocates of free trade.

8.Unscrupulous(a.):behaving in an unfair or dishonest way

Ex:He is an unscrupulous businessman.

9.Floppant(a.):not being serious about something that other people think you should be serious about

EX:John was offended by the doctor's flippant attitude.

10.Subjugate(v.):to defeat a person or group and make them obey you

EX:The native population was subjugated and exploited.

11.Legacy(n.):something that happens or exists as a result of things that happened at an earlier time

EX:The invasion left a legacy of hatred and fear.

12.Pliant(a.):soft and moving easily in the way that you want

EX:Isabel was pliant in his arms.

13.Retort(v.):to reply quickly, in an angry or humorous way

EX:He retorted the invectives on her.

14.Obstinate(a.):determined not to change your ideas, behaviour, opinions etc, even when other people think you are being unreasonable

EX:He was the most obstinate man I've ever met.

15.Creed(n.):a creed is a statement of belief usually a statement of faith that describes the beliefs shared by a religious community and is often recited as part of a religious service. When the statement of faith is longer and polemical, as well as didactic, it is not called a creed but a Confession of faith. The term "creed" can also refer to a person's political or social beliefs or is sometimes used to mean religious affiliation

EX:They hold no religious creed.

16.Peevish(a.):easily annoyed by small and unimportant things

EX:The kids were peevish after so long in the car.

17.Arduous(a.):involving a lot of strength and effort

EX:The arduous task of loading all the boxes into the van.

18.Arbitrary(a.):decided or arranged without any reason or plan, often unfairly

EX:This is an arbitrary decision.

19.Monotonous(a.):boring because of always being the same

EX:The preacher's monotonous voice put me to sleep.

20.Vanguard(n.):the vanguard is the leading part of an advancing military formation. It has a number of functions, including seeking out the enemy and securing ground in advance of the main force

EX:They are in the vanguard of technological advance.

21.Concur(v.):to agree with someone or have the same opinion as them concur with

EX:The committee largely concurred with these views.

22.Precociousness(n.):a precocious child shows intelligence or skill at a very young age, or behaves in an adult way, sometimes used to show disapproval in British English

EX:A precocious child who walked and talked early.

23.Aloof(a.):unfriendly and deliberately not talking to other people

EX:They worked hard, but tended to stay aloof from the local inhabitants.

24.Pragmatic(a.):dealing with problems in a sensible, practical way instead of strictly following a set of ideas

EX:Williams took a more pragmatic approach to management problems.

25.Capricious(a.):likely to change your mind suddenly or behave in an unexpected way

EX:She was as capricious as her mother had been.
