He sent to inquire about the whereabouts of Baili Xi, and know he was wrangler slavery in Chu. Duke Mu prepares many gifts for redemption of Baili Xi. But his officer persuades him not to do so, because if kingdom of Chu know Baili Xi’s talent, Chu will not release him. Therefore, the officer suggested that in accordance with the trading value of the slave market, Duke Mu use five sheepskin redemption Baili Xi.

    Duke Mu ask Baili Xi how wealthy and powerful his kingdom, analyzing the condition of Qin, Baili Xi replied Qin have vast territory, large population, which other kingdoms don’t have, Qin can conquer the savage in the border, expanding territory, then according the situation of mountain and river to guard the kingdom and waiting the chance to competition with other kingdoms, Qin will be the king of each kingdoms. Duke Mu was very excited and Baili Xi became the prime minister of kingdom Qin.
