1.channel

Explain: a system used for sending something from one place or person to another.

Example:E-mail is a channel of communication.

2.courtyard

Explain: an open space that is surrounded completely or partly by a building or group of buildings.

Example: The apartment overlooks a courtyard.

3.enterprising

Explain:good at thinking of and doing new and difficult things, especially things that will make money.

Example: The business was started by a couple of enterprising young women.

4.distorted

Explain: to change the natural, normal, or original shape, appearance.

Example: Her face was distorted by pain.

5.portrait

Explain:a painting, drawing, or photograph of a person that usually only includes the person's head and shoulders.

Example:The queen posed for her portrait.

6. distort

Explain: To change something such as information so that it is no longer true or accurate.

Example: Electronic faults can distort the radio signal.

7. channel

Explain: To use money or supplies for a particular purpose.

Example: All the company's sales are channeled through outside distributors.

8. impair

Explain: To make something less good or effective, especially by causing damage that affects the way something works.

Example: The condition does not seem to impair his ability to work.

9. recollection

Explain: The ability to remember something that has happened.

Example: In her recollection of everyday experiences, there is a questioning of the value of everyday objects and existential experiences.

10 rural

Explain: Relating to parts of a country that are not near cities and where the population is low.

Example: Here the rural areas too were in the hands of the towns and the patriciate ruled unchallenged.

11.lodge

Explain:to have temporary accomodations.

Example: The troops lodged in the village school for two weeks.

12. supplier

Explain: A company, organization, or country that supplies or sells a product or service.

Example: As the supplier for his new family, he had to take his royal responsibilities seriously.

13 refugee.

Explain: Someone who leaves their country, especially during a war or other threatening event.

Example: They want to present a picture of refugees getting much better services than other people.

14. filter

Explain: To pass something through a filter to remove particular things contained in it.

Example: The noise of the traffic filtered through the heavy curtains.

15. disclose

Explain: To allow someone to see something by moving the thing that covers or hides it.

Example: At the end of the path, turn right and push past some foliage to disclose a hidden pool.

16.barrel

Explain: A round wooden, metal, or plastic container with a flat top and bottom, used for storing liquids.

Example: Their customers drink a million barrels of beer a year.

17.quintuplet

Explain: A baby who is born at the same time as four other babies in its family.

Example: A story about the birth of quintuplets shouldn't send all expectant couples scurrying to buy 5 cribs.

18.breeze

Explain: a light wind

Example: The curtains fluttered gently in the breeze.

19.generate

Explain: To make a lot of people express feelings or opinions about something.

Example: More and more of the money in state budgets is generated by state and local lotteries.

20.orient

Explain: To have a particular emphasis or goal.

Example: The news programs are increasingly oriented to what we call “infotainment.”

21. transmit

Explain: To send out an electronic signal such as a radio or television signal.

Example: In that technique, an optical fiber is used to transmit light from a specially coated lens.

22. version

Explain: A form of something that is different from other forms or from the original.

Example: The software comes in several versions for different types of computers.

23. wool

Explain: The fine soft curly or wavy hair forming the coat of a sheep, goat, or similar animal, especially when shorn and prepared for use in making cloth or yarn.

Example: Farming provided food, and their sheep provided wool for cloth.

24. switch

Explain: To change from one thing to another, or make something do this.

Example: Reporters are switching their attention to other members of the royal family.

25. simultaneous

Explain: Happening or done at the same time.

Example: In simultaneous announcements, the two men resigned from their jobs.
