再次聽這首歌，聽到歌詞尾韻的『AA BB』押韻形式，又想起20多年前取得英文教師證後，教高一學生從英文老歌認識『押韻』這件事，好久遠的回憶；後來，心力有限，在英文老師和輔導老師兩種角色間的抉擇，我聽從了內在的聲音，當個傾聽孩子內心世界的輔導老師。
抉擇，總是一件很有趣的事，它可以輕如鴻毛，也可以重如泰山，影響往往是一輩子。
人生很多事情，都沒有絕對的對錯好壞，當下對的時間，對的地點，對的感覺，往往就決定了最後的結果，譬如工作，譬如愛情。
譬如愛情：愛情的來到，愛情的錯過，我們都無法預知結果，也就不知結果是好是壞，談戀愛很好，可是我們不知道會不會步入禮堂；步入禮堂很好，可是我們不知道會不會白頭偕老；白頭偕老很好，可是，那會是全程幸福平順的保證嗎？
惟有不斷的嘗試、溝通、互動，自助天助，尊重剛好的時間和剛好的感覺，我們才能確定那是不是『當下』的真愛，錯過與否？以後如何？就不需也不能強求。
人生很多事情皆然，能認清人、事、時、地、物出現的必然與偶然，看懂命運、機會、巧合組合而成的人生棋盤，一切盡其在我，縱使或有錯過，也比較容易釋懷，也不會徒留傷感，更不會只是不甘心、由愛生恨。
Don't Cry Joni歌曲中兩小無猜的Jimmy和Joni，太年輕的彼此是注定會錯過的，愛情，譬如很多其他人生的事，越是強求，越多的遺憾；惱人的是：我們卻都是感覺的動物，感覺總是不受控制的、跑得飛快，又豈是我們的理智腦能控制的！？
注定了的遺憾，就當是人生的功課，就是人生必修的學分，哭一哭也好，至少可以哭出來總是好事。所以，還是不要勸人家別哭。
