The so-called "lie-flat movement" is prevailing in the world, particularly among the young generation in developed areas. That is a negative attitude toward life, but they have no choice. High living costs and low income make most of them give up an aggressive way to pursue a better life.
In English, the adjective "supine" may also describe such a way of life. Literally, supine means lying flat; figuratively, it can refer to a state of not being willing to act or disagree with others because he or she is lazy or morally weak.
