My elder granddaughter is a first grader in elementary school now.  This afternoon at 2:30 my wife and I went to the school to pick her up.  Slowly we walked her home in about 15 minutes.  When she was in preschool learning Chinese, we drove to do the pick-up job several times.  We are more than happy to "perform" such an assignment.  

My younger granddaughter will enter the same preschool like her sister used to do next month.  By the time my daughter would be snowed under with harder work.  Well, my wife and I could do to help.

PS  My daughter used to be a lawyer, but now she is a full-time housewife.  People say that the job of full-time housewife is one of the toughest in all walks of life.  Now I believe it.
