The attached reportage is concerning two motion pictures: the first one "Fairy Woman" is played by Ms Ruan Lingyu(阮玲玉), and the second one "Ruan Lingyu", a biography picture, portrayed by Cheung Man-yuk(張曼玉).  I have not watched both of the picture before, but I know the story about that gorgeous, star-crossed, and short-lived Ms Ruan.

Talking about the dreadful gossip and the inequality of society during Nationalist China, the author of the reportage gave us a beautifully-written reportage that must be worth your while to read it at your leisure.
