I found a somewhat detailed reportage about the subject "American" film I had watched while I was working in NYC over twenty years ago. The storyline of the film is concerning four women from different families, who emigrated from China to America after 1949.
If correctly, I remember I watched the film on a CD, which contains both English and Chinese subtitles. But now all I can find online is the following one, no subtitles, no nothing. I hope you could search for something better by yourself.
