    【美國】亞馬遜公布「100本人生必讀好書」名單

    網上書店亞馬遜日前公布「100本人生必讀好書」,入圍著作面世年代橫跨200年,除了《傲慢與偏見》、《小王子》及《愛麗絲夢遊仙境》等老牌經典,也有《哈利波特:神秘的魔法石》一類的近年暢銷書,且題材不限於小說,霍金的《時間簡史》和人文史類的《槍炮、細菌與鋼鐵》也有上榜。

    亞馬遜實體與電子書總編輯納爾遜表示,篩選過程不涉演算或統計等數學方式,而是基於各評審的喜好,當中盡量避免過於死板或說教式的書籍。是次入圍的書籍中,只有一本是亞馬遜的最佳年度暢銷書,即思科魯特(Rebecca Skloot)的《拉克絲的不朽生命》(The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,海拉細胞的不死傳奇)。 

    從公布名單中可見,《哈利波特》、《魔戒三部曲》及《飢餓遊戲》等大受歡迎的奇幻作品均有上榜,《孤星淚》及《巨鯨無比敵》等巨著雖然家喻戶曉,但評審激烈辯論後決定割愛。名單以字母順序編排,不分排名。 

    據透露,公眾可在應用程式Goodreads上投選喜愛的書籍或建議沒有上榜的遺珠,亞馬遜將於數週內公布由讀者選出的百大必讀書籍。
