康富生技與中國醫藥大學,共同開發癌症新藥

康富生技(4140)宣布,董事長林秦葦與中國醫藥大學校長黃榮村簽署新藥開發的技轉合約,將共同開發具有多靶點抗癌作用機轉的候選藥物,預計依進度一步一步完成臨床前試驗及臨床試驗,並再尋求國際大藥廠合作。
中國醫藥大學教授郭盛助,從事癌症新藥研發歷經三十餘年,此次由其帶領的跨校際研發團隊,專家還包括台大教授陳惠文、成大教授吳天賞等,開發出可口服或靜脈注射投藥的新藥候選藥物ANK-199。並正式是專屬授權康富生技繼續研發。
該藥物經動物試驗結果發現,可藉由誘導細胞凋亡而達到抗癌活性,特別是對化療藥物具抗藥性的頭頸癌,具有良好的抑制作用,可以開發為新一代的癌症治療藥物。
康富生技公司董事長林秦葦 指出,頭頸癌傳統治療方法主要有手術切除、放射線治療及化學藥物治療。目前在頭頸癌的化療藥物中,仍以鉑金類(cisplatin)及氟尿嘧啶(fluorouracil,5-FU)之類藥物為主。但在治療過程中,常因抗藥性的出現,使原本被控制的癌細胞再度復發。而傳統療法副作用的產生,也是影響病人接受治療的原因之一,進而延誤病情。
康富生技董事長林秦葦表示,此次的候選藥物ANK-199,屬於合成的小分子新藥。此藥經口服的方式,在低劑量即能有效抑制小鼠腫瘤之生長,而且受試小鼠的體重與行為都沒有異樣,表示此藥毒性極為低微。全球每年約有56萬新增頭頸癌患者,有30萬人死於頭頸癌,目前頭頸癌治療藥物在亞洲地區每年約有4.4億美元市場商機,而全球市場則預估在2016年后即會達到18億美元以上的大市場規模,顯示市場對頭頸癌藥物的需求龐大,極具開發潛能。
董事長林秦葦說明:接觸癌症新藥研發其來有自,2004年該公司舉辦「第一屆中美日國際癌症醫學研討會」,是國內生技公司創舉,也是該公司選擇癌症作為跨入新藥領域的第一步的重要原因。
而康富生技在獲得中國醫藥大學技術專屬授權後,將開始著手進行此產品的開發,以符合歐、美及亞洲新藥法規規範並進行各項試驗,包括毒理試驗、安全性藥理活性試驗、符合cGMP的原料藥與臨床用藥生產、藥物動力學研究、及人體臨床試驗的進行。
林秦葦董事長預期將一步一步完成臨床前試驗及臨床試驗,再尋求國際大藥廠合作進行全球性產品研發,包含第三期人體臨床及新藥上市申請與上市後行銷。該公司也表示,除了頭頸癌研究外,未來也將針對其他癌症進行持續開發。

This point in the release cycle would normally be RC1, however we're still finalizing development of the JIT and squaring away named arguments, so we've opted for an extra beta release with plans to start the RC cycle in two weeks.
At this time, we're not planning to adjust the GA date, however this may change during the course of the RC cycle. The updated release schedule can, as always, be found on the PHP Wiki.
