From shadow to shadow
I seek refuge from the scorching sun -
  as I hop my daily journey back home

During the brief moments of coolness
I become so grateful to those who planted the trees

I say to myslef:
「Perhaps I should also be planting some trees...」 
「Perhaps I should be one of the shadows myself!!」

Darkness has fallen quickly
Now I am back in the comfort of my AC cooled living room
I soon forget all about the true meaning of 前人種樹, 後人乘涼.
And I say to myslef (shamelessly):
『Maybe I don't need to plant the trees after all !』

後記: 夏天下班後走路回家有感, 大意是
大多數在苦難中得到別人照顧的人都會心存感恩
發願自己以後也要行善助人
可是等到一旦發跡
卻往往把以前的想法都拋到九霄雲外去了
