1. I'm going to show you to make French bread.
2. For the recipe, I'm going to use two cups of warm water, one and a half tablespoons of yeast,  one tablespoon of sugar, one tablespoon of salt, and three cups flour.(up to five or six cups of flour.)
3. I use a large mixing bowl, smaller bowl, a measuring cup, another measuring cup for the flour, a whisk, a woodspoon, a tablespoon, my hands(You use your hands!), and a bowl with a lid.
4. This is for the dough:
5. First, pour the water into a bowl.
6. Add the yeast.
7. This is one and a half tablespoon of yeast, one tablespoon of sugar.
8. Then mix these together.
9. You let this for about ten minutes.
10. Put two cups of flour into large bowl .
11. Add a tablespoon of salt.
12. Mix the salt and the flour together.
13. It takes about ten minutes for the water, and the yeast and the sugar to rise and get foamy.
14. Add the yeast, and the sugar and water to the flour and the salt.
15. Stir together for about three minutes.
16. When the dough is kind of sticky, you can add more flour.
17. I usually use a spoon to mix the dough.
18. When the dough looks like this, I start to use my hands and I knead the flour into the dough.
19. I'm kneading the dough.
20. I put a little bit of olive oil in the bottom of a bowl.
21. Place the dough in the bowl.
22. Lightly cover it with the oil.
23. Cover the dough with plastic wrap.
24. Put the lid back on the bowl.
25. Let the dough rise in a warm place.
26. For about an hour and a half to two hours.
27.After the dough rise, take it out of the bowl and cut it into these sections.
28. Cut the dough into these sections.
29.From each section into a loaf.
30. Cover the loaves with plastic wrap.
31. Let them for 40 minutes.
32. Preheat the oven to 450 dregrees.
33. Place a baking stone in the oven to let it get hot for 20 minutes.
34. After 20 minutes you can take the baking stone out of the oven.
35. Sprinkle some cornmeal onto the baking stone.
36. Take the plastic off of the loaves and carefully place each loaf onto the baking stone.
37. Cut across the top of each loaf a qarter to a inch deep.
38. Brush a glaze of egg and water onto each loaf.
39. Put the loaves of bread into the oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
40. It's a good idea to use a timer.
41. I'm going to set this to 35 minutes.
42. After 35 minutes, you cantake the bread out of the oven.
43. Put the loaves onto a rack  to let them cool.
