第一幕
（農夫的妻子正在數籃子裡的橡果。）
農夫的妻子（大聲）：
一、二、三……什麼？！又少了兩顆橡果！
喂——農夫！快過來——！
（農夫急忙跑進來。）
農夫：
什麼事？你怎麼又在大喊大叫？！
農夫的妻子：
橡果不見了！一定是你又偷吃了！
農夫（生氣）：
我沒有！你每天都這樣冤枉我。
給我三天時間——我一定會找出是誰偷的！
農夫的妻子（雙手抱胸）：
好，三天。
不然我……我就不做飯了！
（農夫的妻子走出屋子，這時一棵樹洞裡探出一顆松鼠的頭——大松鼠。）
大松鼠（小聲偷笑）：
嗨，農夫太太，妳怎麼看起來這麼不開心呀？
農夫的妻子：
當然不開心！因為我丈夫懷疑是我偷了橡果。
你知道是誰拿走的嗎？
大松鼠：
我知道，我想是雪鴞。
農夫的妻子：
鴞？！
我不覺得貓頭鷹會喜歡吃橡果啊？
大松鼠：
喔，牠說要幫我拿一些橡果來。
農夫的妻子：
好吧，我要去找那隻貓頭鷹了，再見。
大松鼠（偷笑）：
嘻嘻嘻……今晚我又可以拿到橡果了！
第二幕 —— 第一天：黏黏陷阱
（農夫在籃子周圍倒上濃稠的糖漿。）
農夫：
我在這裡放點黏黏的糖漿，
誰踩到這個就跑不掉了！
（他躲到門後。大松鼠開心地跳出來。）
大松鼠：
嗯～今天的橡果聞起來特別甜呢！
（踩到糖漿）
喔！不！這是什麼？！
黏黏的！黏黏的！啊啊啊！
（牠抓了一顆橡果，用力掙脫。）
我想……我還是快跑比較好！
（大松鼠腳黏黏地逃走。）
（農夫走出來四處查看。）
農夫：
嗯……只有一個小小的腳印。
（數橡果）
一、二、三、四……
喔不！又少了一顆！
是誰拿走的？是誰是小偷？
完了完了，我老婆一定又要生氣了！
下次我一定要抓到小偷！
第三幕 —— 第二天：鈴鐺警報
（農夫和農夫的妻子起床，農夫在籃子上綁了一串小鈴鐺。）
農夫：
親愛的，你看，只要有人動籃子，鈴鐺就會響。
這次我一定能抓到牠！
農夫的妻子：
哼，你昨天也沒抓到。
今天最好成功，別忘了你答應三天內抓到小偷！
（兩人離開。）
（大松鼠探頭出來。）
大松鼠：
鈴鐺？哈！我跳得比那個還高呢！
（大松鼠輕輕跳進籃子，鈴鐺發出很小的聲音。）
叮……
（農夫跳出來。）
農夫：
聲音太小了……
我什麼也沒看到。
（數橡果）
一、二、三……
喔不！又少了一顆！
是誰？到底是誰偷的？
完了，我老婆又要生氣了！
下次一定要抓到你！
第四幕 —— 第三天：白粉腳印
（農夫在所有橡果上撒上閃亮的白色粉末。）
農夫：
這些亮亮的粉末會黏在小偷的腳上……
我只要跟著腳印走就好了！
（大松鼠興奮地跳出來。）
大松鼠：
哇！今天的橡果在發光耶！
一定超好吃！
（牠推開橡果，粉末黏在腳上。）
（農夫和農夫的妻子快步跟著亮亮的腳印。）
農夫：
一個腳印……兩個……三個……
怎麼腳印越來越大？
嘿……它們往樹上去了！
（大松鼠鑽進樹洞，農夫夫妻探頭看。）
農夫的妻子：
原來是你！大松鼠！
是你偷了我們的橡果！
（大松鼠僵住，手裡抱著橡果。）
大松鼠（羞愧）：
對不起……
我真的太餓了……
農夫的妻子：
所以不是我老公，是你這個大壞蛋？
大松鼠（舉起前爪）：
我認罪！
可以……分我幾顆橡果嗎？
我保證以後不再偷了……
（農夫溫柔地笑。）
農夫：
當然可以。
下次餓了，敲敲我們的門就好，
我們會分享的。
（農夫笑著拍拍妻子。）
農夫的妻子：
對啊！
我也不要再亂冤枉他了！
來——給你三顆橡果，但要守信用喔！
（大松鼠開心地跳舞。）
大松鼠：
我一定會的！謝謝你們！
農夫：
今天是聖誕節，
我再多送你一顆橡果。（遞給牠）
大松鼠：
哇！謝謝你們！
農夫的妻子：
對啊，今天是聖誕節，
我們一起吃橡果、唱聖誕歌吧！
（大家一起唱〈We Wish You a Merry Christmas〉。）

Scene 1
(Farmer’s w counts the acorns in a basket.)
Farmer’s w (loud): One , two, three… What?! Two acorns are missing again! Hey ,Farmer ,Come here —!”
(Farmer rushes in.)
Farmer:
“What ? Why You’re shouting again?!
Farmers w :
“The acorns! They’re gone! It must be you eating them!”
Farmer (angry):
“I did NOT! You accuse me every day.
Give me three days—I will find out who the thief is!”
Farmer’s w (arms crossed):
“Fine. Three days. Or I… I won’t cook dinner!”
( farmers w walk out of the house and see big squirrel s head pops out from a tree hole—Little Squirrel.)
Big Squirrel (softly giggling): hi , Mrs farmer , why you look so upset ?
Farmer ‘s w : yes , I’m upset . Because my husband accuse me of stealing the acorn did you know who took it?
Big squirrel:I know I think it’s snow owl
farmer’w :owl?! I don’t think owl would like acorns??
Big squirrel:oh owl said he was going to get some acorns for me
Farmer’s w:ok I’m going to find the owl bye
Big squirrel:
“Heeheehee… I get acorns again tonight!”

Scene 2 — Day One: The Sticky Trap
(Farmer spreads thick syrup around the basket.)
Farmer:
“Ill put a little sticky syrup here.Whoever steps on this won’t get away!”
(He hides behind the door. Squirrel hops out cheerfully.)
Big Squirrel:
“Mmm! The acorns smell extra sweet today!” ( steps on syrup.) oh! No ! What’s this?! Sticky! Sticky! Aaaah!” ( took one acorn and run trying hard and pulls free.) i think I better run!”
(Squirrel escapes with sticky feet.)
(Farmer walks out and looks around.)
Farmer:
“Hmmm… just a tiny footprint ( count acorns) one , two, three , four , Oh,No! My acorn is missing one again! Who took it? Who is the thief? Oh , no! My wife is going to get mad at me again ! Im going to catch the thief next time !

Scene 3 — Day Two: The Bell Alarm
(Farmer and Farmers wife are up. Farmer ties a string of tiny bells to the basket.)
Farmer:
“Imy dear , look , if anyone moves the basket, the bells will ring. And this time I’ll catch them!”
Farmers w: mmmm, you didnt catch the thief yesterday and you better do today . Remember , you promised to catch the thief in THREE days! ( both leave)
((Squirrel peeks out.)
Big Squirrel:
“Bells? Hah! I can jump higher than that!”
(Big Squirrel jumps lightly into the basket. A soft bell sound rings.)
Ding…
(Farmer jumps out.)
Farmer:
“The sound was too soft…I still didnt see anyone (count ) one , two ,three, Oh no ! My scorn is missing another one again !! Who took it ? Who is the thief ? Oh no ! My wife is going to get mad at me again !! Im going to catch the thief next time !

Scene 4 — Day Three- the powder trail
(Farmer sprinkles shiny white powder on all the acorns.)
Farmer:
“These sparkly powders will stick to the thief’s feet…
All I need to do is follow the footprints!”
(Big Squirrel hops out excitedly.)
Big Squirrel:
“Wow! The acorns are glowing today!
They must be SUPER delicious!”
(Squirrel pushes the acorns away, powder sticking to feet.)
(Farmer and farmers wife follows the shiny footprints, walking fast.)
Farmer:
“One print… two prints… three…Why are the footprints getting bigger?
Hey… they’re going up the tree!”
(Big Squirrel dives into the tree hole. The farmer and his wife peek in.)
Farmers w:
sSo it’s YOU! Big Squirrel, you’ve been stealing our acorns!”
(Big Squirrel freezes, holding acorns.)
Big Squirrel (ashamed):
“I’m sorry… I was so hungry…
Farmers w: So it wasnt my husband , it was this big rascal?”
Big Squirrel (raising paws):
“I confess!
Could you… maybe share a few acorns with me?
I promise I won’t steal anymore…”
(Farmer smiles warmly.)
Farmer:
“Of course.
If you’re hungry, just knock on our door.
We’ll share.”
(Farmer laughs and pats his wife.)
Farmers w:
“Yeah! And don’t let me wrongly blame him again!
Here—take three acorns. But keep your promise!”
(Big Squirrel dances happily.)
Big Squirrel:
“I will! Thank you!”
(Farmer: today is Christmas , Ill give you one more acorn, look (give him acorn )
Big Squirrel: Wow! Thank you so much !
Farmers w: yes , its Christmas , lets eat the acorns and sing Christmas songs tohether ! ( all sing we wish you a Merry Christmas )
