1.      對等連接詞and (用於兩個連續動作，或是第二個動作為第一動作的結果)

例如：連續兩個動作。He stood up and walked into the room. (通常第二個動作用分詞) = He stood up, walking into the room.

          第二個動作為第一個動作的結果。He killed his wife, and he slashed her with a knife. (後面的那個動作只是在補充說明kill 的方法) = He killed his wife, slashing her with a knife. (他用一把刀砍死了他老婆)

        例如: Because I don’t know what to do, I turn to my teacher for help.

         = Not knowing what to do, I turn to my teacher for help. (只要在句子最前方加上” Not” 即可)
