新北市長朱立倫昨(十八)日選後首日重回工作崗位，一早即受訪，針對請假三個月投入總統大選，朱立倫表示，感謝市民朋友對我的包容，這段期間很抱歉，在請假期間對於市政如有延宕向市民道歉，未來一定會全力以赴把市政建設做好，向下扎根基層。

自九合一選舉到這次總統大選，針對新北的選票掉了二十五萬票左右，朱立倫說，每件事國民黨都要檢討、反省，尤其自己身為黨主席、做為候選人要負最大的責任，當然在地方上有做不好的地方我們也要徹底檢討。對於有黨員說要連署請您留任？對此，朱說，自己已辭去黨主席，這是責任也是承諾，但就一個黨員的角度，對黨未來所有事務不但是關心，也會全力支持，並非從此以後不管。他強調，國民黨未來一定是深耕基層，跟年輕人站在一起、全力改革，這是未來黨主席跟所有黨員的共同工作，讓更多年輕人願意加入國民黨。

對於新任黨主席年紀上會有所限制嗎？朱立倫說，只要有心為黨服務，願意全力改革，讓黨民主、年輕化，能夠獲得人民信任都是適任的人選，至於，市府小內閣會否調整？朱立倫則說，沒有討論到這些問題，目前就是做延續性的市政工作。
