大家都喜歡聽故事。
你可以說一則或數則能引發聽眾切身感受的故事,並藉此引導到簡報主題。
故事可長可短,可以是新聞或寓言,也可以是聽眾尚未聽過或早已耳熟能詳的故事,或者也可以是講者親身經歷的故事。
要留意的是故事必須與簡報內容相關。(詳細內容請見書中全文p. 73)

A few years ago, I was at a trade show in Germany and I met a sales rep from ASUS.
He was a shy, young man trying his best to sell me the latest laptop of his company.
Last week, I ran into him again at a press conference, and he has risen to be the Director of International Sales.
How did he do it? What’s the secret of his success?
幾年前,我在德國的一個貿易展了認識了一位華碩的業務代表。
他是個害羞又年輕的人,盡全力要賣我他們公司最新的筆電。

This is a true story.
A teacher asked her 5-year-old student: “Peter, what do you call a person who keeps on talking when people are no longer interested?”
Little Peter responded: “Umm, A teacher?”
This tells us the importance of integrating communication skills into teacher training programs.
這是個真實的故事。
一位老師問她五歲的學生:「Peter,你怎麼稱呼一個當旁人都已經沒興趣聽時還一直在講話的人?」
小Peter 回答說:「是『老師』嗎?」
這故事告訴我們將溝通技巧融入教師培訓課程的重要性。
