Five Offences  五逆罪

   The five rebellious acts or deadly sins: Five heinous crimes:

(1) Killing one's mother 殺父

(2) Killing one's father殺母

(3) Killing an arhat殺阿羅漢

(4) To wound the body of the Buddha出佛身血

(5) Destroying the harmony of the sangha, or fraternity.破和合僧

pan~ca^nantarya; 五無間業 The five rebellious acts or deadly sins, The above definition is common both to Hi^naya^na and Maha^ya^na. The lightest of these sins is the first; the heaviest the last.

   指五種極惡之行為，又名五逆罪、五無間業、五無間罪或五不救罪。即殺父、殺母、殺阿羅漢、出佛身血、破和合僧。殺或作害。其中前四是身業，後一為口業。造此五罪必墮無間地獄受苦，故稱五無間罪、五無間業。
