Buddha 佛

   Means "the Enlightened One" or "the Awakened One".

　 佛陀的意思是「覺悟的人」、「覺者」。

   謂智慧具足，三覺圓滿，能自覺，又使他覺，自他之覺行圓滿者，叫做佛，佛是世界上的真寶，故稱佛寶。

Three Enlightenments  三覺

the three kinds of Enlightenment:

1.Enlightenment for self自覺

2.Enlightenment for others覺他

3.Perfect enlightenment and accomplishment覺行圓滿

  The first is Arhat. The second is Bodhisattva. When all the three have been attained, the being becomes a Buddha.

  「自覺」是自己覺知過去、未來、現在、三世一切諸法常無常等，遍知正覺以超越三界凡夫。

   「覺他」是以修菩薩行而超越二乘，使眾生皆得如自己一樣的大覺大悟。即自覺之外，又說法開悟眾生，使脫離生死之苦。

   「覺行圓滿」是自他兩覺兩利功德圓滿，以超越菩薩而完成究竟的佛果。
