Triratna, Ratnatraya, Three Jewels, Three   Treasures 三寶

Three Jewels or the Three Precious Ones, The 'Three Treasures' in Buddhism.

(1) the Buddha 佛寶

(2) the Dharma 法寶

(3) the Sangha 僧寶

Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, i.e. the Buddhist Trinity.

一切之佛，即佛寶；佛所說之法，即法寶；奉行佛所說之法的人，即僧寶。

佛者覺知之義，法者法軌之義，僧者和合之義。

Buddha 佛寶

Means "the Enlightened One" or "the Awakened One".

佛陀的意思是「覺悟的人」、「覺者」。

Three Enlightenments  三覺

the three kinds of Enlightenment:

1.Enlightenment for self自覺

2.Enlightenment for others覺他

3.Perfect enlightenment and accomplishment覺行圓滿

The first is Arhat. The second is Bodhisattva. When all the three have been attained, the being becomes a Buddha.

謂智慧具足，三覺圓滿，能自覺，又使他覺，自他之覺行圓滿者，叫做佛，佛是世界上的真寶，故稱佛寶。

Dharma, Dharmaratna 法寶

Dharma-treasure, the Dharma, Law or Buddha-truth preached by the Buddha , the second personification in the triratna 三寶.

「法」指諸佛所說之妙法，引導眾生如實了知事物的本質，解脫生死煩惱的佛法、教法。佛法無垢清淨、希有難得、不可思議，故稱為法寶。

Sangha 僧寶

sangha, the idealized church, the third member of the triratna.

僧是奉行佛所說之法的人，代替佛向民眾傳佈佛教理論與實踐，指導教化民眾的出家僧伽，即僧寶。
