Late mid summer night Chiba Station

It was another hot and humid late summer night in Chiba

No neon light of Shinjuku

Loose socks and mini-skirts are not for here

 My mind was lost in a foreign city

Five thousand miles away from home

But I heard angles singing with a guitar and a hand drum

Touched

Eyes welled with tears that softened this scorched heart

I met angels in a foreign land
