"Beat the heat" means to use some ways to avoid the heat or make yourself cooler in such a nasty hot weather. In summer, you might be more often to visit tea shop for iced tea, which is a way we beat the heat in the most of the time. Some female classmates find the trees’ shade in PE class to chat, which is also a way to avoid the heat, beating the heat.

"Beat the heat"的意思是找一個讓你覺得避暑的方法，或在一個非常熱的天氣裡，找一個讓自己涼快一點方式。在夏天時，你可能更頻繁地去飲料店購買冷飲，這就是我們最常使用的必暑方式。有些女孩子在體育課的時候總是來到樹蔭下聊天，這也是一種方式讓自己覺得涼快一些，beating the heat。

"Beat the heat" is very useful, especially in summer. When you beat up somebody, you beat him and win in this battle. Thus when you beat the heat, it means you win over raining-fire weather with a way makes you cooler, for instance iced beverage, electric fan, air conditioner, etc.

"Beat the heat"是在夏天時非常實用的說法。當你beat  up某人，你揍他且最後也打贏了。 因此當你beat the heat，其意思為你使用了一些避暑法門來戰勝熱天，冰飲、電扇、冷氣等等。
