Exciting Year-End Banquet / Year-End Party
When you are walking into the banquet place, you will get a number or a set of numbers for the raffle. Usually, you pray for the number to become the luckiest one over this evening.
當你正要走路尾牙會場時，你會拿到一個數字或是一組數字為了等一下抽獎的活動。通常你會祈禱你手中的數字將會是今晚最幸運的數字。
In the opening of the year-end banquet or year-end party, you will see a person holding microphone to introduce the big pillars one after another in the company, we call (2) "emcee".
在year-end banquet 或 year-end party剛開始的時候，你將會看到有個人手拿著麥克風，一位接著一位地介紹在場的重要人物，我們稱為"主持人"。
During the food-serving, the emcee starts (3) "prize drawing" which usually from the less-appealing ones to the most exciting one for which we call (4) "raffle". Through the whole event, all the employees are from very high to the highest in their moon. With a note here, the biggest prize in a raffle is also called (5) "grand prize".
在上菜期間，主持人開始抽獎囉，通常是從幾個沒那麼讓人期待的幾個小獎開始到最大獎，整個活動又稱為raffle或是prize drawing。在整個過程當中，所有的員工都從非常的興奮到最興奮。順道補充一下，最大獎又稱為"grand prize"。
When the event almost ends, the rather-sad people are able to receive (6) consolation prize, usually the least appealing ones. When you are sad, you need to be consoled. Thus your named was not called during the food-serving, you must be a bit down, so we call the prize as consolation. Overall, all the people in this evening can bring happiness through our lunar new year~!!! Happy Chinese New Year~!!!
當活動幾乎要結束的時候，比較難過的幾位員工可以領到安慰獎，通常都是最不起眼的那種。當你很難過，你需要被安慰。因此，當你的名字一整晚都沒被叫到的時候，你必定覺得有些失落，所以我們稱此獎為安慰獎。整體來說，大家在這樣的夜晚都可以帶著好心情度過農曆新年。新年快樂~!!!
