It has only been slightly over a month since I concluded this impossible journey, which, at that time, it seemed the entire world was against me. But now, I have come to see: it was the opportunity life had afforded me; I have gained incredible stories to share with and to laugh about, and have been pushed to forsake self-pity. I have committed to appreciate uncharted possibilities in life, with a new-found strength in me. It would have taken much longer for me to be where I am today if not because of my January journey.
“Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.”
~Søren Kierkegaard
