中央氣象局預報明天是近期冷空氣最強的一天，預估北部、東北部低溫約攝氏15度，3000公尺以上的高山不排除有機會降雪。

中央氣象局預報員林定宜說明，今晚至明天因東北季風及華南雲雨區東移影響，北部、東半部易有短暫雨，中南部局部短暫雨；東北部、基隆北海岸有大雨發生。他特別提醒，明天是金波冷空氣最強的一天，預估西半部、東北部低溫約15、16度，東部、東南部17至19度；高溫部分，北部、東北部高溫約16、17度，中部、東南部20至24度，南部27度。

林定宜並指出，1月19日之前若水氣和溫度能配合，不排除3000公尺以上的高山會降雪；一般而言，高山地區也會容易出現下霰、結霜的現象。

林定宜預估19日至22日高溫逐漸緩慢回升，但低溫部分變化不大；降雨部分，19、20日水氣稍減，降雨以北部、東北部、中南部山區為主；21、22日東北季風減弱，中部以北、東半部易有短暫雨。他還提醒，21、22日中南部地區因水氣減少，容易有輻射冷卻、低溫會再降個1、2度，日夜溫差可能會再擴大；另外因為氣溫回升，中南部清晨易有霧或低雲。

林定宜分析指出，預計1月23日另一波鋒面接近，水氣增多，24日鋒面通過加上東北季風增強，中部以北、東半部又再轉濕涼、易有短暫雨。
