Lindau, Germany: The Loveliest Bavarian Island.
林道（Lindau）又譯作林島，是一座德國巴伐利亞邦的城市，老城區位於波登湖東岸的島上，與奧地利接壤；與瑞士隔水相望。林道是一座旅遊城市，是德國南部「阿爾卑斯山之路」的起點，最具特色的是它以阿爾卑斯山為背景的港口、燈塔和代表巴伐利亞的獅子雕塑。
.1189年林道建造了第一座教堂聖施特凡教堂，1224年方濟各會在島上建造了一座修道院。1274年至1275年林道成為神聖羅馬帝國魯道夫一世統治下的一座帝國自由城市。1528年林道實行宗教改革。神聖羅馬帝國的三十年戰爭後，1655年舉行了第一屆林道兒童節（德語：Lindauer Kinderfest）以紀念這場戰爭，林道兒童節後來成為林道的特色。
神聖羅馬帝國衰落後，林道在1802年失去了它作為帝國自由城市的地位，1804年林道連同它的修道院一起被劃割給了奧地利，第二年奧地利把林道歸還給巴伐利亞。1853年林道建成了從陸地通往島上的鐵路堤壩，1856年建成一座新的港口，港口的燈塔和獅子雕塑同時竣工。
2次世界大戰後林道曾由法國占領並管理1955年管轄權被再次歸還給巴伐利亞.

但是暑假卻是人滿為患,旅館房間需要提前預訂,治安良好夜間寧靜,沒有燈紅酒綠的酒吧營業,所有商業時間pm.22:00.準時打恙休息.這裡的餐飲風味屬於德國巴伐利亞傳統的口味.從早餐,中餐,到晚餐最好搭配葡萄酒(紅酒白酒佐料)此外當地傳統手工釀造啤酒,風味絕佳沒有人工色素,防腐劑,清淡好喝.
