公叔文子之臣大夫僎，與文子同升諸公。
子聞之曰：「可以為文矣。」
公叔文子有一位職位較低的家臣士大夫僎，由公叔文子提拔公叔文子一同晉升公爵的官職。
孔子聽到了說：『公叔文子，可以表彰他是一位尊前提後有德的君子。』
註一：春秋官位是可以世襲的，分為『公、侯、伯、子、男』，『公』是五種官位中最高的。
