Swine flu virusesIt is a naturally occurring event just like every other influenza pandemic in history (three occurred in the 20th century way before biological engineering was possible).
The several components (avian, human, and swine) were acquired through the process of antigenic shift. Here is how it happens:
"Like all influenza viruses, swine flu viruses change constantly. Pigs can be infected by avian influenza and human influenza viruses as well as swine influenza viruses. When influenza viruses from different species infect pigs, the viruses can reassort (i.e. swap genes) and new viruses that are a mix of swine, human and/or avian influenza viruses can emerge. Over the years, different variations of swine flu viruses have emerged. At this time, there are four main influenza type A virus subtypes that have been isolated in pigs: H1N1, H1N2, H3N2, and H3N1. However, most of the recently isolated influenza viruses from pigs have been H1N1 viruses."
What should you do to keep from getting the flu? First and most important: wash your hands. Try to stay in good general health. Get plenty of sleep, be physically active, manage your stress, drink plenty of fluids, and eat nutritious food. Try not touch surfaces that may be contaminated with the flu virus. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
豬流感，類似其他人類史上具傳染力的流行性感冒，不是特別不同的流感病毒。
在人類生物工程史上有鑑別力之前的二十世紀已發生過三次豬流感。
豬流感病毒的幾項構成要件有鳥禽類、人類、和豬隻等三者皆有其必要性，進而透過違反基因常態的方式移轉病毒。
像所有的流感病毒一樣，豬流感也經常突變。豬隻不僅會感染豬流感也會感染禽流感和人類流感。當有流感病毒來自不同品種的染病豬隻時，病毒會重組並交換基因，而新病毒混合了豬流感、人流感、以及禽流感等三種流感病毒而發病。多年以來，已經有四種主要的A型病毒亞種源於豬隻身上分離出來(分別是H1N1,H1N2,H3N2,H3N1等四種病毒)然而，最近大部分萃取自豬隻的病毒是H1N1的病毒
至於該如何避免感染豬流感？首先也是最優先要務就是要勤洗手。維持良好衛生習慣。有充足的睡眠、常運動、做好壓力控管、多補充流質水份、以及攝取營養的食物。避免碰觸可能感染豬流感的環境。也避免近距離接觸染病的病患。
