(1) What's on today? 其實是指電視或廣播今天「播放」(broadcast) 什麼節目，on 是指 on TV 或 on the radio，如以下 Longman 例句：

a. What’s on TV tonight?

（今晚有什麼電視節目？）

b. Did you hear that programme on the radio last night?

（你昨晚有沒有收聽那個廣播節目？）

(2) 電影院播放電影，要用「動詞」 play 或 show，如果指的是某一間電影院，「介係詞」是 at 而不是 in。

(3) theater 除了「電影院」之外，也有「劇院」的意思，What's on today? 是指「今天有什麼表演」， 也就是 What's on stage today?，stage 是「舞台」，on stage 指「登台演出」，那麼原句就不是「電影院今天演什麼電影」，而是「劇院今天有什麼表演」。

(4) 電視也有電影頻道，如果要講電影頻道今天播放哪些電影，則是：

What films are on TV today?
