We are celebrating our anniversary next week.

（我們下週要慶祝我們的結婚週年紀念。）

We are celebrating our first wedding anniversary next week.

(1) anniversary 是「週年紀念」的意思沒錯，但通常表達以下兩種不同意涵，使用上不可含混帶過：

a. wedding anniversary（結婚週年紀念） 

b. death anniversary（逝世週年紀念）

也可以用 anniversary of something 來表示不同重要事件的週年紀念，例如（引用自牛津字典）：

the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Britain

the 75th anniversary of the RAF

(2) 中文的「週年紀念」常被理解成「一週年紀念」，但英文必須表示成 the first anniversary，而不是直接寫成 anniversary；同理，如果是「二週年紀念」，就是 the second anniversary，「十週年紀念」是 the tenth anniversary，以此類推。

(3) 句中的「結婚週年紀念」(wedding anniversary)，在並非當事人或無前後文鋪陳之下，不宜把 wedding 省略，否則不太容易理解要紀念什麼。此外，「我們結婚一週年紀念」，應為 our first wedding anniversary，如果寫成 our wedding anniversary ，表示只知道是結婚週年紀念，但不知道結婚幾週年，有點不合常理。
