Legitimate

E.g. he claimed that the restaurant bill was a legitimate business expense.

Anguished

Noun

1.      extreme unhappiness caused by physical or mental suffering

E.g. his anguish at the outcome of the court case was very clear.

Dare

Verb

1.      to be brave enough to do something difficult or dangerous, or to be rude or silly enough to do something that you have no right to do

E.g. I was going to ask if his dog was any better, but I didn't dare in case it had died.

1.      very clear and powerful

2.      describes someone who is easily emotionally influenced

E.g. they persuade susceptible teenagers to part with their money.
