5/11/2026 due to my apple 6 plus recently became very weird auto dial happened again, in the beginning when i found apple store updated immediately disable wifi and restart but didnt help then found updated chinese (china) KB so i uninstalled chinese (china) , it didnt work then found updating (taiwan) added hand writing so unistalled again. it still not solved but auto added digital number very difficult dial out that must in time deleted those weird numbers inserted.
5/12 earlier morning i did Google search showed might cause by iphone dirty screen so i used special cloth with screen Cleaner to wipe off iphone screen then i thought better clean notebook screen too. when i wipped off PC screen that didnt touch the bottom task bar which has opened notepad not yet save data files. suddenly all disappeared (assume maybe the bottom cloth uncarefully touch the bottom task bar). when time coming to go out, clicked power shut down then popped screen showing have 1 apps not closed and 11 data files not saved, i was happy to see the message because never can get (5/11-5/12 wipped screen) last browser or unsaved data files back thought gone forever.
we had 2 appointments so cant carry my notebook with me (if power off then all unsaved *.txt would 100% disappear as they are in RAM) . returned home the unknown psycho seemed not touch my notebook as i put on the floor, PC lid open not closed, covered with plastic bigger bag and towel put on sofa chair arm above on the plastic bag. then continue searched as below : PS figure out how to keep each copypaste from searched related artciles in right most position in stead keep move to right side until nearby middle position cant but stop paste.

I really felt must stay away win11 or sooner or later nerve break down. now i am calm down and believe it was virture explorer due to the disappeared *.txt already became *.bin so wont open but disappear and back to previous one. isnt usa very lack of good O.S. - Set Future Protection: In File Explorer, go to View > Options > General, and check "Restore previous folder windows at logon" to prevent this in the future. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6] If the shutdown screen showed files, the application was likely attempting to prompt for saving; if the PC has not completed the shutdown, stopping the shutdown process may allow you to save your work. --PS i think due to click the old date file so the File Explorer became old version or else didnt see View > Options not mention can see > General. mouse on one of folder then right click the folder show more options but not same as View > Options > General if click [...] > (Folder) Options > View > Reset Folders not Restore previous folder windows at logon. - ..........................need take break. due to Google(or AI?) search notebook became very hot, so i need copypaste before close all google searched tab 1st.
- searched [i opened old *.txt file then the browser auto disappeared pop up new explorer requested to prove i am human, which n File Explorer, go to View didnt see options, does it mean file explorer became old version?] The "prove you are human" pop-up suggests a security event triggered by opening a suspicious file, rather than a downgrade of File Explorer. If your View menu is missing, your Explorer view settings may be corrupted or set to show a separate, older process. You can fix this by clearing File Explorer history or checking folder options.
Key Troubleshooting Steps:
- Fix View/Options Missing: In File Explorer, go to the three-dot menu (...) -> Options -> View tab -> click Reset Folders.
- Disable "Old" Look: Go to Options -> View tab -> Scroll down and uncheck "Launch folder windows in a separate process".
- Check "Recent" Setting: Ensure "Show recently opened items..." is enabled in Settings.
- Security Alert: If the popup persists, scan your computer for malware, as malicious files can sometimes trigger fake verification screens. [1, 2, 3]
It is likely that a security patch or the malicious file caused a temporary reversion to an older, more stable Explorer view, or a bug has caused the ribbon menu to hide. Using the "Reset Folders" option usually restores the default modern layout. [1]......................

- Start Menu: Open the Start Menu to see recent items in the Recommended section. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

- Privacy: If you are on a shared computer, turning this on makes your recent files visible to others.
- Unsaved Data: If the files were never saved, recent file lists might not be able to fully recover the "unsaved" content; however, this approach is the best first step to regaining access to the files. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

explorer.exe, and it will not damage or delete your unsaved *.txt files. It is the correct way to restore your desktop (taskbar, icons) without losing open applications. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]- Open Task Manager: Press
Ctrl + Shift + Esc(orCtrl + Alt + Deleteand select Task Manager). - Run Explorer: Click File > Run new task.
- Type: Type
explorer.exeand press Enter. - Save Files: Your taskbar and desktop will reappear. Go to the Notepad windows that are still open, click File > Save immediately.
- Shutdown: Once all files are saved, you can shut down normally. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Will
explorer.exedamage files? No.explorer.exeonly controls the user interface (taskbar, desktop, file browser). Running it again just restarts the interface. - Will files be lost forever if I restart? If you have Windows 11 (recent updates), Notepad has autosave, so it may restore them. However, in Windows 10, if you restart before saving, the unsaved contents (held only in RAM) will likely be lost.
- Why did they disappear? The File Explorer process crashed, causing your taskbar to vanish, but the Notepad application itself was likely still running in the background. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

.bin (binary) file into Notepad, it attempts to interpret the raw, non-text data as plain text. Because binary files consist of computer code, images, or compressed data rather than human-readable text, Notepad translates these bytes into the unreadable, garbled characters you are seeing (often called "mojibake"). [1, 2]- Ln 1, Col 251: The cursor is on the first line, but the 251st character, because binary files often lack "Line Feed" characters that tell Notepad to start a new line.
- 11 of 89,756 characters: This indicates the file is roughly 89,756 bytes in size.
- Macintosh (CR): This indicates that the file likely originated from an older Mac system or that Notepad is misinterpreting the line endings (Carriage Returns) within the binary data.
- ANSI: The current character set being used to map the binary data to characters. [1, 2, 3, 4]
.bin file in, this will not work. [1]- Do Not Save: If you are viewing a
.binfile in Notepad, do not save it. Saving will corrupt the.binfile. - Use a Hex Editor: If you need to view the contents of a
.binfile, use a specialized program designed for binary data, such as HxD or Notepad++. - Attempt File Recovery: If you are attempting to recover a previously open, unsaved text file, search for
%AppData%\Local\Notepador check%AppData%\Local\Tempfor potential temporary backup files, though this is rare in older Windows versions.Summary: The text is gibberish because Notepad is a text editor trying to read a non-text file. The.binfile is just binary data. [1]

i finally succeeded on line submited opt out my bank arbitration provisions then suddenly browser auto disappeared and popped up the 5/11-5/12 disappeared browser with 11 opened(created) not yet save *.txt , i immediately saved them in 2 different folders in case auto disappeared. only 2 files with same name A but differnt contents even i did renamed the longer content as A-B but didnt help both A and A-B became the same short one(the longer contents disappeared), very unlucky, and have no idea why the short not the longer one. so i dont need the Hex Editor. unless in the future if must open windows system *.bin.
Dont ask me what is going on, all i can say it is not system unstable but very very badly design. the last two, both copilot and google AIs, thought i am quite easy calm down and have patience dealing win11 weird symptons with them. but i really hate it right in the beginning confused me a lot -- 1. the screen layout frequently auto became 4 multiple windows 2. win11 notepad new version ie open notepad can open new tabs for more than one files bind together that spent quite many days to recover win10 (however it still auto updated) then installed system plain notepad, and i wont use the new tab to have more than one files together.

- Absolute Minimum (Tight): 64GB SSD. However, Windows 11 updates and base installation (approx. 25–30GB) quickly fill this.
- Recommended Practical Minimum: 128GB or 256GB SSD. This provides enough breathing room to keep files in
C:\Users\Usernamelocally without needing the "cloud only" option. --PS believe me since bought notepad in 2024 Feb, my HD availabe space always more than 450GB but obviously [file on demand happens] and [folders became virtual] frequently happen.
- Uninstall OneDrive: Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, search for OneDrive, and uninstall it.
- Disable Files on Demand: If you use it, ensure all files are set to "Always keep on this device".
- Manage User Folders: Move your default Documents, Desktop, and Pictures folders out of the OneDrive path to a local folder. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Automatic Setup: During Windows setup, "Back up files to OneDrive" is usually enabled by default.
- Folder Backup On: OneDrive, even if not fully active, may have moved your Documents, Desktop, and Pictures folders into the OneDrive folder, which defaults to storing files online-only.
- Windows Updates: Periodic updates can re-enable or default to this behavior. [1, 2, 3, 4]
- Run/Install OneDrive: Search for "OneDrive" in your start menu and open it. Sign in if required.
- Open Settings: Right-click the white/blue OneDrive cloud icon in the taskbar (bottom right) and select the gear icon (Settings).
- Disable Files On-Demand: Go to the Sync and Backup tab, expand Advanced Settings, and toggle off Files On-Demand (or select "Download all files" to make them local).
- Stop Backup/Unlink: In settings, go to the Backup tab (or "Manage Backup") and stop backing up your folders. Then, go to the Account tab and select "Unlink this PC".
- Uninstall: You can now safely go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall to remove OneDrive. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
C:\Users\YourName and not inside C:\Users\YourName\OneDriveC:\Users\username\OneDrive\Documents are local files, but they are currently stored inside a folder that is meant for syncing.- Not Fully Local: The files are not fully stored on your computer.
- Stub/Pointer: You are looking at "pointers" or placeholders. When you double-click a file, it downloads instantly, provided you are connected to the internet.
- 0 GB Usage: Because the files exist only in the cloud, they do not occupy local storage space, which explains why your Cloud usage shows 0 GB, likely because you have not synced any files up to it, but you are still viewing files managed by it. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
- Windows "Backup" Feature: The OneDrive app might have been configured to take over your "Documents" folder automatically. This is called folder backup or protection.
- Unfinished Setup: It may be in a partial state where it created the folder structure but isnt actively syncing, leaving the files as "online-only" placeholders.
How to make them Local (if you want to)If you want these files stored permanently on your computer (for offline access):If you want to stop using OneDrive altogether, you should go to the Taskbar tray (bottom right, under the

win11 hex editor for free version can open *.bin files, can export to *.txt files for free and can use notepad to edit the exported *.txt files without run hex editor (8GB RAM already high over 80%)?
- Free and Opens
*.binfiles: HxD is free for private and commercial use and can open binary files of any size, even larger than 4GB. - Export to
*.txtfor free: It has a built-in export feature. Go to File > Export > Text to create a plain text representation of the hexadecimal data. - Edit Exported
*.txtvia Notepad: The exported file is standard text that can be opened and edited in Windows Notepad without running the hex editor. - Low Memory Usage (8GB RAM high load): HxD is specifically designed to be fast and uses limited RAM because it does not try to load the entire file into memory at once. It is well-suited for systems with high memory pressure. [1, 2, 4, 5]
- Download and Open: Download the portable version of HxD and open your
*.binfile. - Export: Select
File->Export->Text(orHex), and select your options to save it as a*.txtfile. - Edit: Close HxD, open the new
*.txtfile in Notepad, make your changes, and save. - Re-import (Optional): If you need to convert that text back into a binary file, you can import it back into HxD (File > Import). [1, 2, 3, 4]
.....
what is the reason needed that export to *.txt then want to transfer back to *.bin files ?
*.txt) file and then converting it back to a binary (*.bin) file is a common workflow used for human readability, portability, and auditing, followed by a need for system efficiency. [1]- Editing and Troubleshooting (Human Readability): Binary files are unreadable in standard text editors. Exporting to
.txt(e.g., using hex, CSV, or XML formats) allows engineers to manually view, debug, and modify data before converting it back to the required.binformat. - Version Control and Differences: Text files are easy to compare using standard version control systems (like Git) to see changes. Binary files often appear as "mangled" or identical to tools even when content has changed.
- Data Portability and Normalization: Text files avoid platform-dependent issues like "endianness" (how a system stores multi-byte numbers). Converting back to
.binensures the final file is in the native, compact format expected by a specific program or system. - Efficiency in Production: While text is easier to edit, binary is far more efficient to parse and read by software, resulting in faster processing and reduced memory usage once the final format is settled.
- Configuration and Hardening: A system may require a
.binformat for speed, but technicians might use a script to convert it to a text file for quick editing of settings, and then back to binary for deployment. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
A user has a configuration file (
config.bin) that needs a single value changed.- Convert
config.bintoconfig.txt(using a tool like xxd or a custom script). - Edit
config.txtin Notepad/Vim and save it. - Convert
config.txtback tonew_config.bin(using xxd -r). [1]

why HxD (Hex Editor) official site screen looks like fake as the left side(has company name mh-nexus HxD) fuzzy not clearly? PS it is blue color with mh-nexus HxD on top then blog, articles, programs ... on left looks fuzzy not clearly or bright words(letters)
- Low-Resolution Screenshots: The site uses older screenshots that may not have been updated for high-DPI (Retina/4K) displays, causing them to appear blurry when scaled up.
- Simple Web Design: The mh-nexus website is functional and utilitarian rather than modern. The developer (Maël Hörz) focuses on software functionality rather than high-end web design.
- DPI Scaling Issues (Software-side): The HxD application itself can appear blurry in Windows 10/11 when DPI scaling is set to 120 DPI or higher (e.g., 125% or 150%). This is a technical issue within the applications older Delphi interface components that affects how Windows renders the font on the left sidebar (address column) and menu, making it look blurry.
- Delphi Interface: HxD is written in Delphi, a programming language often used to create fast, native Windows apps that sometimes dont natively support modern, sharp scaling without additional coding. [1, 2, 3]

Yes, you can permanently cut off OneDrive, disable sync, and remove the "Files on Demand" cloud placeholders. Even though it is pre-installed, you can unlink your account and cleanly uninstall the app so no background processes or cloud icons remain. [1, 2, 3, 4]Step-by-Step Guide: Permanent OneDrive Cut-off
