主啊！求你塑造我的兒子，

使他夠堅強到能認識自己的軟弱；

夠勇敢到能面對懼怕；

在誠實的失敗中，毫不氣餒；

在勝利中，仍保持謙遜溫和。

"Build me a son, O Lord,

who will be strong enough to know when he is weak,

and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid;

one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat,

and humble and gentle in victory.

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You and praise You for Derek. You know his burdens and his desires to be with his family. I ask that You help lead him and guide him in what he needs to do. Help him to trust You completely while it is a tough situation. Help him to never give up hope and to know that You are in control of everything. Help him rest in this assurance and to know You and desire to know what You have him to do. I thank You and praise You that You have heard my prayer and have all the answers. In Jesus' name, Amen.
