台北租屋生活不容易，房價高漲，租金也跟著漲。北投一間屋齡至少40年、36坪的公寓3樓，被規劃成7至8間房間，2間當雅房出租，其中一間約2坪的月租為2500元，另一間0.5坪的榻榻米雅房則是月租2000元，真的「只夠躺平而已」。更誇張的是，這間0.5坪雅房的前租客竟住了整整5年，直到生孩子才搬走。

根據《蘋果新聞網》報導，不到2坪的房間裡有一張單人床、一個木櫃和一張桌子，而0.5坪的雅房只有一張床的大小，2間雅房都沒有對外窗，只限租給女生，規定不可養寵物、不能開伙，每月也要繳水電費250元。

房東表示，0.5坪雅房是一個狹小的封閉空間，「只夠躺平而已」，之前有個女租客承租長達5年，直到生小孩才搬離，之後打算只當儲藏間出租，讓租客放置物品，若有人想要入住，可能需考慮一番。

房東透露，該公寓目前租給6位租客，男女皆有，衛浴共用，實際長住有3人，其他室友只是租個空間放東西，偶爾才會過來。房東也強調，「不歡迎標準太高或是愛問東問西的房客」，如果要求品質好、私人物品多，建議多花一點錢找一個寬敞的地方。
