馬區上校（Colonel March）是蘇格蘭警場怪案科（The Department of Queer Complaints）的探長，專門處理一些無法解釋的怪案，這個系列一共有九個短篇，全部發表於史全德雜誌（The Strand Magazine）上，時間則在1938年至1941年間
