She's never been afraid to play around with fashion.

And Modern Family's Sarah Hyland put on a typically stylish display at Elle's Women In Television dinner on Wednesday, putting a modern twist on a vintage style dress with flesh flashing cut-outs.

Flashing a hint of her toned abs with strategically placed panels, the 25-year-old cut an elegant yet fashionable figure as she enjoyed a night out at the Sunset Tower in West Hollywood.

Careful not to show too much in the cream lace gown, she kept her chest covered with a ruffled high neckline, whilst exposing her enviably lean legs.

Adding another element to the intricately patterned dress, she turned to the side to reveal an open back, giving the ensemble another sultry twist.

She styled her chestnut coloured locks in a chic up do, sporting a messy chignon bun that left her pretty face and quirky make-up exposed.

Adding a splash of colour with an aquamarine slick of eye liner, the Modern Family actress proved that less isn't always more when it comes to beauty, drawing attention to her jade-coloured eyes.

Highlighting her flawless complexion with a sweep of bronzer, the stunning star also accentuated her plump pout, painting her lips with a rose-tinted stain.

Also cutting a stylish figure at the celebratory dinner was Nina Dobrev, who donned a dramatic Antonio Berardi gown.

With floral detailing on the monochrome floor-length dress, the Vampire Diaries star looked as pretty as a petal as she cuddled up to her famous friends.

Meanwhile, Jordana Brewster added a splash of colour to the evening's festivities, opting for an eye-catching multicoloured gown.

Surrounded by floor-skimming frocks, Sarah was the least covered up of her friends.

But whilst the brunette bombshell wasn't afraid to bare her body in the flesh-flashing dress, she kept the results of her latest tattoo firmly under wraps.

On Sunday, the petite star revealed she'd added another inking to her new collection, when tattooist to the stars - Brian Woo - shared a picture of his latest handiwork.

With the words 'follow my heartbeat' and a delicate daisy printed on her rib cage, Sarah's dainty tattoo was revealed to be in a place that would stay mainly covered up.
