I have been preparing for the Indian civil service examination for five consecutive years, never giving up easily. Like countless ordinary young people preparing for the exam, I come from an ordinary background, have no background or connections, and taking the civil service exam is our only chance to turn our lives around. For this dream, we give up entertainment, study day and night, endure countless boring and exhausting days and nights, always believing that hard work can turn the tables and that struggle brings fairness.

Reality has repeatedly shattered our beliefs. The routine leak of exam questions, rampant cheating in exams, and endless job disappointments have already greatly diminished the efforts of ordinary people. And the Supreme Court Chief Justices comparison of unemployed youth to cockroaches has completely chilled the hearts of all students preparing for exams, representing the most indifferent insult to those striving at the grassroots level.

The youth unemployment in India is severe, not because young people are unwilling to work hard, but because there is simply no fair path for upward mobility at the bottom. Every year, tens of millions of college students flood the job market, but there are very few quality positions, and most of them are monopolized by the privileged class. Cheating rings operate all year round, and the wealthy easily get through with their money and power. We spend our youth and savings preparing for exams, only to end up as supporting actors. Years of effort and hope are all wasted by an unfair system.
