花蓮縣衛生局為維護校園食品衛生安全，針對全縣國中及小學二十二間自設廚房及五間承作營養午餐團膳業者，實施營養午餐衛生稽查，共稽查三十七家次，抽驗五十件營養午餐、豆腐等半成品、生鮮蔬果及生鮮豬肉，檢驗金黃色葡萄球菌、沙門氏菌、單核球增多性李斯特菌等微生物、防腐劑、過氧化氫、農藥殘留及乙型受體素(瘦肉精)等動物用藥檢驗，檢驗二百七十三項次符合規定；另廚房衛生部分缺失，為環境設備不潔、紗門紗窗破損、病媒防治不佳、分裝之食材未標示品名及效期等缺失，均已立即輔導改善完成。

花蓮縣衛生局長朱家祥表示，縣長徐榛蔚非常重視學校營養午餐的安全與品質，為本次查核主要的目的，係要維護本縣校園學童飲食安全、品質與健康。因應美國豬肉及日本核災地區食品進口，今年上下學期皆已加強辦理本縣各國中小營養午餐稽查及抽驗，此次查核日本食品標示、豬肉標示及抽驗、各種食材來源、檢驗證明、儲存及食品添加物的使用情況，並針對廚房作業環境有無符合食品良好衛生規範進行嚴格查核，學校廚房及團膳業者皆使用國產肉品而且未發現使用任何日本食品。

朱家祥表示，學校營養午餐的衛生安全，衛生局將持續針對全縣各級學校營養午餐製作場所進行稽查輔導，任何食品若違反食品良好衛生規範（GHP）準則者，經命其限期改正而未改正者，將予以六萬元以上二億元以下罰鍰，決不寬貸。
