每年一月下旬炮仗花開始陸續開花，也象徵春天的到來，今年台中后里的后科路提早綻放，綿延250公尺的金橘色花牆滿滿盛開，讓人彷彿有被花海包圍的錯覺，彎曲地段最具特色，能拍出花牆的延伸感。

后科路的炮仗花牆位在后里正隆紙廠後方，旺盛花海旁還有水泥人行步道，一串串如鞭炮般的炮仗花炸開，遠看就像一片美麗的橘金瀑布，一路綿延百尺的美景令人驚豔。
台中后科路的炮仗花牆是最新熱門的炮仗花景點，位在台中中科七星園區，正隆紙廠后里廠房的正後方，導航時可搜尋地標即可，若要更詳細的路段就在星科路及后科路一段交界處。
開車的遊客只要抵達正隆紙廠后里廠，再往前一點就能看到，搭車的旅客，可搭台中公車811於后里棒球場下車即達，請注意，周邊沒有停車場，僅部分路段有白線可臨停。
炮仗花除了具觀賞價值，葉子長年青綠，攀爬速度快、蟲害少，常常用來美化屋頂、圍籬，常常在路邊就能看到住家屋牆上的種植炮仗花，尤其是開年新春時，為期一個月左右的盛放花期，讓街道也能感覺到熱鬧喜氣。
