Standard gain horn antennas are used as calibration devices that measure the gain of other antennas.

These antennas are made up of a combination of a Waveguide to Coax Adapter and Standard Gain Horn with Waveguide Input. It is a kind of simple combination but with great care and attention to create an antenna with accurate and suitable specs.

陸軍十軍團586旅一名江姓裝甲兵於21日休假期間，獨自赴和平區挑戰具有中高難度的「八唐縱走」路線，原本在當晚以訊息向女友報平安，表示「剩1公里下山」，未料此後音訊全無，家屬在昨(25日)公布他的最後身影找人，果然就在第六天傳出消息！搜救人員終於在松鶴二溪上游的溪谷找到他。令人驚訝的是，江姓士兵全身並無外傷，奇蹟般地平安存活，還可以清楚對話！

貼文曝光後，有山友透露曾在登山口停車場遇見江男，也有人指出「八唐縱走」路線地勢陡峭、布滿濕滑路段，加上岔路繁多，「如果切錯稜線，很可能一迷就是好幾天」。Horn antenna家屬多日擔憂，動員消防、軍方、民間團體及林保署等單位，合計超過百人次投入搜尋。

今(26)日搜救人員終於在松鶴二溪上游的溪谷找到他。令人驚訝的是，江姓士兵全身並無外傷，奇蹟般地平安存活；被發現時，他甚至還向救援人員比出大拇指，示意自己狀況良好。Horn antenna目前消防局正研判後續撤離方式，不排除申請空勤總隊直升機協助運送。
