聖靈的果子

加拉太書五章:22-23[聖靈所結的果子、就是仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、溫柔、節制．這樣的事、沒有律法禁止。]

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

加拉太書五章22-23節，希臘文是用單數名詞，是指一個果子，就是「愛」。這個愛藉著我們的行為有各種不同的表現：就是仁愛、喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、溫柔、節制。當我們活在聖靈中，我們就能結出這些果子。

國際學園傳道會創設人白立德博士說：「聖靈所結的果子就是愛，只有當我們在愛裏，我們才能滿足神對我們生命的旨意，我們必須被愛激勵，被愛主使，被愛駕馭的人。若非有聖靈的果子（愛），我們只不過是宗教的噪音。
『聖靈的果子就是愛，顯示於喜樂、和平、忍耐、恩慈、良善、信實、溫柔、節制；
喜樂是愛的能力
和平是愛的保障
忍耐是愛的堅持
恩慈是愛的行為
良善是愛的特性
信實是愛的信任
溫柔是愛的謙遜
節制是愛的勝利
這樣的事，沒有律法禁止。』」
一個被聖靈管理的人是不須要靠律法來幫助他過一個稱義的生活，這個被聖靈管理之生命的秘訣，是在於對神的專注，將你所有的獻在祭壇上（羅12:1）這些聖 靈果子所表現出來的，就是憑信心被聖靈充滿的結果，而不是被聖靈充滿的方法。」（《聖靈》，白立德P.131）

聖靈的果子是基督徒順從聖靈生活自然的一種表現，不是模倣來的，模倣是外在的，不是內在生命的果子。
