"THE GOLDEN HOUR"
I’m sending you one golden hour
From the full jeweled crown of the day;
Never sorrow or care shall have power
To steal this rare jewel away.
I’m bidding you join in the dreaming
I had in that hour of you,
When all of the old dreams, in seeming,
Were gold like the hour, and came true.
So let’s dream like a child in its playing,
Let’s make us a sky and a sea,
Let’s change the thing ‘round us by saying
They’re things that we with them to be;
And if there is sadness or sorrow,
Let’s dream till we charm it away,
Let’s learn from the children, and borrow
A saying from the children: “Let’s play!”
Let’s play that the world’s full of beauty,
Let’s play there are roses in bloom,
Let’s play there is pleasure in duty,
And light where we thought there was gloom.
Let’s play that this heart with it sorrow
Is bidden be joyous and glad,
Let’s play that we’ll find on tomorrow
The joys that we never have had.
Let’s play that regret with its ruling
Is banished forever and aye,
Let’s play there’s delight but in doing,
Let’s play there are flowers by the way.
However the pathway seem dreary,
Whenever the footsteps may lead,
Let’s play there’s a song for the weary
If only the heart will give heed.
Let’s play we have done with repining,
Let’s play that our longings are still,
Let’s play that the sunlight is shining,
To gold the green slope of the hill.
Let’s play there are birds blithely flinging
Their songs of delight to the air,
Let’s play that world’s full of singing,
Let’s play there is love – everywhere.

Sade - Kiss of Love
There must have been an angel by my side
Somethin' heavenly led me to you
Look at the sky it's the color of love
There must have been an angel by my side
Somethin' heavenly came down from above
He led me to you, he led me to you
He built a bridge to your heart all the way
How many tons of love inside
I can't say
When I was led to you
I knew you were the one for me
I swear the whole world could feel my heartbeat
When I lay eyes on you
You wrapped me up in
The color of love
You gave me the kiss of life, kiss of life
You gave me the kiss that's like
The kiss of life
Wasn't it clear from the start
Look the sky is full of love
Oh yeah the sky is full of love
He built a bridge to your heart
All the way, yes all the way
How many tons of love inside I can't say
You gave me the kiss of life, kiss of life
You gave me the kiss that's like
The kiss of life
You wrapped me up in the color of love
Must have been an angel came down from above
Givin' me love yeah, givin' me love yeah
You gave me the kiss of life, kiss of life, oh yeah, yeah
You gave me the kiss that's like
The kiss of life
You gave me the kiss of life
You gave me the kiss of life
Rogier Van der Weyden (1399 - 1464) The De-Position
It is clear that Dante explained in Convivio, his last publication, the levels and structures of an Epic work:
1) Literal 2) Allegorical 3) Moral and last, 4) Mythical meaning;
where Literal is also on Grammar; Allegorical by Rhetorical .... etc ... and ironically, it fits all levels of readers, just perfectly so.
... and besides, the second dimension of rhetoric will be in rhymic harmony ... therefore, it is noneless of Musical. For music attracts the soul by feeling the love in melody and temper; and sweetening the vegetative life in glory. The third dimension of Moral comes from reasoning of the good and evil, i.e. the tree of knowledge, according to Nature's Rules and Laws. As far as the fourth Mythical dimension is concerned, it is related to Metaphysical layer, which deals with something invisible but influential, and it is directed into the secret of the generations. All in all, only the finest dishes (writings) could be and are worthy of serving in a Royal Banquet of Life Living Temple.
If you want to trace back How Baudelaire knew Dante's works, just ask Eugène Delacroix; for Impressionism (fleeting of moments and reflexions on the water in real visual reactions), Manet.
Dante stated that just don't blame him "WITHOUT COMPASSION" ... for at least he had given readers a chance to try and taste the food, a bit of what's sweet and what it really is. Without any praises, these Epic Poems are foolish and dumb bed-time readings in the least, but plain and simple, to the very last, for the studious, like smiling diamonds sparkling in the night sky.
