“股神”之稱的華倫‧愛德華‧巴菲特(Warren Edward Buffett),除了是全球知名的富豪之外,也是位令人欽佩的慈善家。藉由睿智地投資,尤其是透過他在波克夏‧哈薩威公司的持股,巴菲特匯聚了非常龐大的財富。儘管巴菲特擁有龐大的財富,卻以生活儉樸著稱。2006 年 6 月,巴菲特承諾將其資產捐獻給慈善機構,其中 85% 將交由蓋茲夫婦基金會來運用。巴菲特此一大手筆的慈善捐贈,創下了美國有史以來的紀錄。2007 年,巴菲特獲選為《時代》雜誌世界百大最具影響力人士之一。
