This is a very intriguing news I read from udn.com today. http://udn.com/NEWS/NATIONAL/BREAKINGNEWS1/4939771.shtml

It reported that a congress lady from DPP criticized that President Ma should not address Hillary Clinton as Mrs. Clinton in a dinner party and how it caused shame to the U.S. and showed prejudice to independent women.

EXCUSE ME?

First of all, Clinton is Hillary's last name. If it is not Mrs. Clinton, then would it be Ms. Rodham? Or she could be addressed as Secretary Clinton as it is her official titile. But either way it is proper and did NOT cause any shame to anybody.

If it DID cause shame to somebody, it would be to that congress lady. She needs to take some etiquet class, like she suggested, or some English class.

Then I tried to find some news clips on youtube and see if I can see a closeup between President Ma and Clinton's interaction at this dinner party. I found something MORE INTERESTING. Here is this Chen and Laura Bush's clip.

GEE. Even a door to door salesman shows more grace and etiquet than this dude did.

Now, THAT WAS A SHAME!

Have your blog listed
http://www.blogsbywomen.org/

Hello, Purr,
Will you be interested in listing your blog with Blogs by Women Bloggers?
You will be the first UDN female blogger on this list.
Look forward to seeing Purr's blog listed ...
bulb

i wish i had the guts to be listed though, bulb. but there are too many true stories and real characters in my blog that i'd better be hiding in UDN.

so, are you listed?

when first reading the news i had questions too.  this female legislator didn't give us HER way to address Mrs. Clinton.   Maybe she doesn't know either.

DPP~
Re-define DPP: The Party of collection people who has no brain or no logic. You just can't talk to them at all. Any reasonable person were forced out from that party, image that!

sounds like WORSE than being a pysch ward to me...

a group of peole of NO brain or NO logic. at least some of the patients from the ward KNOW that they are sick and need treatment.

this DPP congress lady sounds really silly and immature. who would buy that, really?

雞蛋裏挑骨頭
Dear Purr:

I agree with you. In Chinese, we say it is "雞蛋裏挑骨頭".

My friends call me "Apple" while others call me "Mrs. Ts***".

Apple

Apple...

glad to see you back. hope the wedding went well. *BIG HUG*

using the correct title is a very tricky thing these days. a lot of women stay single/ unmarried/ or divorced, thus they do not prefer to be called mrs xxx no matter how old they look. i guess guys do not have a problem to be called mr unless they have other titles, like dr.
