學英文到了一個階段，工作上的溝通不再是問題，模糊地帶多解釋幾句也可以釐清，但是無法擺脫的是一種，文法正確的僵硬感，句子沒有錯，對方也理解，但你就是感覺自己聽起來不自然。

這個階段的學生，我們會告訴他，需要補充的不是impressive的大字，是過去沒有注意到的小字，這些字不存在文法書中，卻時時出現在對話。今天介紹的幾種用法，試著用在句子裡，你會開始聽到其他過去不曾注意的小字，也會聽到自己的道地感。

1. a…person 很喜歡…；是…型的人

例：我很喜歡狗

（普通）I like dogs very much.

（道地）I'm a dog person. 也可以說I'm a huge dog fan. 

2. make good use of 善用

例：謝謝你們的離職禮物，我會善用它的。

（普通）Thank you for the farewell present. I’ll be using it a lot. 

（道地）Thank you for the farewell present. I’ll make good use of it. 

3. much of很…；太…

例. 辦公室重新裝修後沒有太大差別。

（普通）The office’s renovation is not too different from before.

（道地）The office’s renovation doesn’t make too much of a difference.

例. 

（普通）Luckily, his mistake did not cause a serious problem.

（道地）Luckily, his mistake did not cause much of a problem.

4. be –able 可…；能…

例. 你的想法可行。

（普通）Your idea can be done. 

（道地）Your idea is doable. 

例. 大會議室可以用

（普通）We can use the main conference room.

（道地）The main conference room is available.
