我國舉重好手許淑淨日前在巴西里約奧運舉重女子53公斤級項目勇奪中華隊第一金，行政院長林全今天(10日)特別前往許淑淨的雲林家中當面向其父母及親友祝賀，並致贈「一舉奪冠，臺灣之光」鏡屏，同時強調政府會盡力成就、栽培，讓運動員得到最好的資源及照顧。

林全向許淑淨的雙親表示，他非常感佩許淑淨專注投入、努力不懈的精神，許淑淨榮獲奧運2面金牌十分了不起，是全台灣的光榮。

針對許淑淨及雙親呼籲國家重視基層選手的照顧，林全表示，行政院將成立「體育運動發展推動委員會」，由政務委員張景森擔任召集人，統籌相關事務，檢討、改善體育相關制度，希望未來在選手培訓、運動、醫學照顧以及就業輔導方面建立更完善的制度，讓選手沒有後顧之憂。

有關選手職涯照顧，林全進一步指出，希望未來凡是納入選手訓練者，政府便對其就業給予協助；「國民體育法」已規定，員工500人以上的機關、團體及企業機構要聘請體育專業人員。此外，若有其他職業興趣，政府有義務協助培養專長，讓運動員多采多姿、多元發展。
