美國男籃隊日前公佈34人大名單，其中密爾瓦基公鹿「麥卡威」Michael Carter-Williams的位置，引起了一些討論。

根據《NBC》報導，原本美國男籃是邀請猶他爵士年輕控衛Trey Burke參加訓練營，但國家隊認為Carter-Williams的特性難以取代，例如臂展與防守，但Burke只是「窮人版」的Chris Paul或Kyrie Irving。

美國隊目前陣中控衛有洛杉磯快艇Paul、克里夫蘭騎士Irving、金州勇士Stephen Curry、奧克拉荷馬雷霆Russell Westbrook、華盛頓巫師John Wall、曼菲斯灰熊Mike Conley。

對於只有2年NBA經驗的Burke來說，少了里約奧運磨練機會確實可惜，不過跟他同位置的爵士隊友Dante Exum季外因傷報銷，Burke有機會在新球季大展身手。

Carter-Williams上季中從費城七六人轉戰公鹿，整季平均14.6分、5.3籃板、6.7助攻，Burke則是12.8分。
